Tiffany and Alley will guide you through creating a plein air piece of art in the beautiful backyard of Wilderness Art Quarry in west Loveland. The workshop will begin with a demo and then Tiffany and Alley will support you while you create your own piece, there to offer guidance and answer any questions you may have. Let’s slow down, reconnect with our surroundings, and enjoy a peaceful morning of art and fresh air together.

Approximate schedule:

○ 9:30am - Set up and introductory info

○10am - Demo

○10:30 - Create your artwork!

○12:30pm - Clean up

Workshop attendees are responsible for bringing all of their own supplies.

No supplies will be provided at the workshop. You don’t need anything fancy, bring whatever you’re comfortable working with! Whether that is a full plein air easel setup, or a sketchbook and a chair 🙂

Suggested supply list:

■ Easel

■ Surface to paint on - canvas, panel, sketchbook, etc.

■ Paint (or your medium of choice)

■ Brushes

■ Palette

■ Paper towels

■ Wash cup with solvent/water depending on your medium

■ Chair if you like to sit while you work

* Nice To Have:

●Weights for your easel in case of wind

● A hat for the sun. And sunscreen!

● A wet panel box or plan to transport your wet painting home

● Pencil or charcoal for sketching

● Water and snacks

All skill levels welcome! No prior plein air experience is necessary. All mediums are welcome, although please note Tiffany and Alley are both painters so will be able to provide the best guidance in this medium.

Weather and minimum workshop size:

○ As this is an outdoor experience, weather may impact our ability to run the workshop. We will do our best to look at the forecast and let registrants know as soon as possible if we need to reschedule or cancel.

○ The minimum workshop size is three attendees.

○ If the workshop needs to be cancelled for any reason, registrants will have the option to be placed in the next workshop or receive a refund.
